Charity Event in Melaka for a school for less privileged students

The Penang Inaugural Class on 10 Jan 2009

Penang Inaurgural class

Ysynergy conducts its Penang inaugural class at the YMCA Penang on 10 Jan 2009 from 3pm to 6pm. The response was good and many of the Penangite yogi and yoginis came to support the event.

The day began with a Pilates Class with Miniball which is the trademark pilates program promoted by ysynergy in Malaysia and Singapore. ysynergy is the authorized training centre for Pilates Coach USA for the training of this program in this region. Participants get to learn the use of mini ball in practising pilates.

After the hour long Pilates Class, the Principal of ysynergy, Jaque conducted a 2 hour long yoga session inspired by Shiva Rea’s Prana flow yoga. One of the hallmarks of ysynergy’s monthly teacher’s practice class (also known as TPC) is that teachers and would be teachers will be exposed to different schools of yoga and that way, they broaden their appreciation and understanding of the different disciplines.

Some of the comments by participants are as follows;

Congratulations! noted there are curious participants / observers in the event. Well, you all should be proud of their presence, come here may be good to hear some story getting to know the people perang better. – Jasmine Ooi
- I know that it would be great to have such a grouping because I have seen my old TTC group from 3 years ago growing from strength to strength because of this TPC. - Janis Tan
- The feedback after the inaugural class was very good as many responded by becoming ysynergy members. For the monthly schedules of ysynergy Penang classes, please go to this link
