Why teach yoga to children?

Children today are under tremendous amount of pressure and stress from school, their environment, peer group competition and expectations from their parents. Stress affects the way children learn and interact with their surroundings. It also affects their health, well-being and confidence. Teaching children yoga creates the ultimate learning adventure while helping them de-stress and relax.

What is YKids?

YKids is a unique approach to integrate learning using yoga as a platform of learning. Yoga and movement are powerful catalysts in creating a strong foundation for education.

We aim to educate the children through sound and movement - the two processes that most children love to engage in. Children learn these invaluable skills that set the groundwork for meeting challenges and growing strong physically, mentally and emotionally, developing self-esteem for a lifetime of successful achievement.

In YKids classes, traditional yoga techniques have been recreated in playful, simple and fun ways as a foundation, each yoga pose becomes a springboard for activities that open the doorway to fully integrated learning. In YKids, elements enhance the learning experience and tap on all the senses.
