This 40 hour course offers you a comprehensive, philosophical, theoretical and practical training in teaching yoga. We welcome practitioners who would like to learn how to teach, and also those who would simply like to deepen their yoga practice and understanding of yoga.

For those taking the Ysynergy 200 hour TTC, this constitutes 40 hour credits to your certification plus 5 hours of practical teaching and assignment
About Louisa Sear and Marie Baker
Louisa was introduced to Yoga as a child by her mother. She practiced Integral Yoga as a adolescent and a young teenager. At the age of 17 she was introduced to meditation and chanting by the Ananda Margas and the Satchananda Yoga group and then to Iyengar yoga, asana and pranayama with Martin Jackson. Martin was the first person to bring Iyengar Yoga to Australia. At the age of 17 Louisa began her dedicated practice. She began teaching at the age of 21 and started traveling regularly to India, here, as well as studying asana and pranayma, she also had a long time meditation teacher. As well as her foundation in Iyengar asanas, Louisa practised Astanga Yoga for 16 years completing 4 series.
Since the beginning, Louisa has dedicated her life to the practice and teaching of Yoga. She is passionate about turning people onto yoga, to find their true nature, freedom and love.
In her teaching, Louisa encourages the understanding and acceptance of life, finding the teacher within and acknowledging the God in all. Louisa has had a committed Yoga practice for over 27 years. She has studied a variety of yoga styles and techniques with many world renowned teachers and has undertaken long periods of meditation with different Yoga masters.
Louisa is the Director and course coordinator of Yoga Arts.
About Marie Baker
Marie first started practicing yoga to recover from the stresses of corporate life. She has studied many styles of Yoga Asana and Philosophy and has completed two Yoga Arts’ Yoga Teacher Training courses . Marie is dedicated to the essence of Yoga and furthers her study with her love of adventure by frequently traveling to India, Nepal and Bali deepening her practice and embarking on personal pilgrimages to sacred temples and mountains. When at home,Marie teaches in Byron Bay and teaches and assists on the Yoga Arts’ Teacher Training courses and retreats in India, Bali, Japan and Byron Bay. Marie lives in the hills of Byron Bay with her love and 2 cats… Marie practices asana, pranayama, meditation, mantra and studies Advaita philosophy
